Inside out
Prufrock and Gatsby are different on the inside, their real thoughts and feelings are different from how other people see them in the way that they sort of exaggerate their journey towards love, in both a good and bad way. They are different in the way that Gatsby is blinded by love and won't hesitate to do anything for Daisy whom he assumes loves him as much. On the other hand, Prufrock is passionate about finding true love and doesn't give up like Gatsby did when he realised his dream with Daisy if far from happening, Prufrock doesn't give up, he moves on. I do see this in real life, because there are people that are blinded by what they think is love and focus only on that one person without thinking of what they need, they are deeply devoted to someone that most of the time doesn't put much effort in keeping things together. Also, in other cases there are realistic people out in the world who see a lost cause and decide to move on with their lives in search for happiness. They don't let one downfall ruin their chances, in fact, they learn from their mistakes and build better character so it doesn't occur again. I think people around me do appear one way on the outside and feel another on the inside. I belive this because i can relate to it at a personal level. Me for example, I may look really happy on the outside because i'm very social, but in the inside i'm sometimes sad but i just don't like showing my true emotions. But maybe that's just me, everyone shows themselves out to the world differently.
-If Prufrock thought his listener might share it with other people, I think he might have said that it's something great to share, because it encourages others to not give up in their search for love and to learn how to get up and stand for what they want.
